  • To deliver, host and support a system you’ve asked us to build.
  • To show you the progress of your order when you use the order tracker.
  • To keep this website secure and working properly.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

04Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we rely on:

  • Contract: taking steps you ask for before entering a contract, such as preparing a quote, and then delivering it.
  • Legitimate interests: replying to enquiries, running and securing our website, and improving our services, where this doesn’t override your rights.
  • Legal obligation: keeping financial records.
  • Consent: for any optional cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

05Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email and accounting services, and only as far as they need it to provide that service. They act on our instructions and must keep your information secure.

If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics receives information about your visit (such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location) to give us visit statistics. See our Cookie Policy.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

06International transfers

Where a provider stores information outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

07How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become projects: up to 2 years after our last contact.
  • Client and project records: for the length of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, for accounting and legal reasons.
  • Information stored in your browser stays there until you clear it.

08Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct or complete it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email info@brixlite.com. We’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

09Keeping it safe

We protect information with encrypted connections, access limited by role and regular backups. Read more on our Security page.
